Evernote – share photo or image via iOS share menu vs. directly import into the app from photos

Image
Interesting. I was wondering whether a photo saved into my Evernote archive would be the same when I do it via the iOS share menu and via the add image to note in Evernote. It turns out there is a difference ! Firstly the image looks better when shared via the system sharing function. See how many more colours the second photo shows (may need a calibrated AdobeRGB monitor):   Evernote imported image from photos (shows fewer colors, has larger file size)  And the same via the share menu has a smaller file size and colours look right:   Photo or image shared via iOS share menu (better color, smaller size). Conclusion : use the system share menu. Do not import directly from the Evernote iOS app.
